My cousin got married over the weekend, and I had the pleasure of taking their photos! I really cant believe that we're all getting old enough to be married, and have our own little lives and families. I could say alot about this shoot... but i'll just say it was soo much fun!!! He is absolutely adorable... & I would like to thank his mommy and daddy for bringing him in so quickly to get his pictures done. I know how hectic the first month or so is when you are adjusting to a new baby so it really means alot to me that they took time out to get their pictures done so quickly!

Suddenly I realized how amazing my job really is...

On saturday, I watched a beautiful bride be walked down the aisle by her admiring father. I could tell on her father's face that this was one of the hardest things he's ever done. Walk his little girl down the aisle and give her away with a recording of him and his wife singing "Butterfly Kisses" overhead. As her father fought back tears, It became obvious to me why there are so many songs about this very moment. It was amazing to be able to see the pure emotion from everyone at this wedding. I am soo Thankful to have been their photographer and try to capture the fairytale wedding that Michael & Janette had.

Will A New President = An Improved America?

I sure hope so!! I'm so excited to see what President Barack Obama will do to help our great country improve... Although thats not at all what this blog entry is about, I just finished watching some coverage with the new president that mtv was running, so it was fresh on my mind!

Now, to what I am posting this blog for... Of course I posted in an earlier blog about getting a new studio light for christmas, well I haven't gotten any new models, customers, ANYTHING since i've gotten it- so call, BOOK NOW. So, I did a few self portraits this evening because I love my new light and have to play around with it every now and then..., and I thought I would post them. P.S. I'm sure you will notice, but my little cutie jumped in for a few of the pics!

My Hubby...

Hello!!!
So, I know everyone has seen pictures of... my daughter (of course), my cousins, and a few clients... but I haven't posted any photo's of my dearest friend, my soulmate, the person who has made it possible for me to follow my every aspiring whim - my husband! So, if you were a fly on a wall in my house you would know how badly my husband hates to have his picture taken, although i do admit this may be from me taking billions of pictures of him and paighton in a short amount of time- when I first began to LOVE photography it was almost a nonstop photo shoot at my home. Enough so, he started to call me the paparazzi... lol. So, now I know if I want to take any pictures I had better choose a good time to do it! Well, one day he was off work and I decided I wanted to try and take a family photo. Well, by time we had gotten to it, it was Paighton's bedtime and she was getting cranky and therefore making joe and i very stressed. Needless to say we got one family picture. And thus the reason for this blog... Our family photo - and of course everyone wants to see what my handsome husband looks like!!

So, i just got my UPS package in... and I finally have a new studio light! Wow, what a difference it makes! I cannot believe I was without it for soo long, it's going to make a huge impact on how my pictures look! I cannot wait to book new people and put this thing to work! Well, I get the pleasure of taking a few pictures of my cousins every now and then. These little girls are a big part of my life, they are very near and dear to my heart. I took maternity pictures a few months back for my best friends brother and sister in law.
